  • How do I order a skip?

    To order a skip call Cambridge Skip Hire on 01223 981379. The team will be happy to discuss what size skip you need, and arrange a delivery and collection date.

  • How much is it to hire a skip?

    We have a full page dedicated to our skip prices which can be seen here.


  • Can I cancel my skip at any time?

    You can cancel your skip up until it is given to a driver for delivery. Before this, any cancellations will be refunded in full.

  • How long can I hire a skip for?

    Our standard skip hire starts at one week. Here at Cambridge Skip Hire we can accommodate longer skip hire to a maximum of 4 weeks. If you have a bespoke request call our friendly team on 01223 981379 and we will try to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability.

  • How do I get my skip collected?

    If you’ve hired the skip for a week we’ll pick it up on the arranged date seven days after delivery. If you fill the skip earlier and want it moved before the seventh day, call our team on 01223 981379 to organise a collection date.

  • What does our skip hire price include?

    Our skip hire prices cover delivery, collection, and the disposal of your waste.

  • What can I put in my skip?

    We offer skips which can handle three different main types of waste.


    • General (generic home goods)
    • Inert (soil, sand, concrete)
    • Wood

    Please fill your skip to the fill line or else we won’t be able to collect it.

  • What can’t you put in your skip?
    • Asbestos
    • Plasterboard
    • Paint
    • Tyres
    • Gas cylinders
    • Large appliances (fridges/freezers)
    • Electrics such as televisions/computer monitors
    • Oil
    • Batteries and other chemicals

  • How high can I fill my skip?

    Please ensure that you only fill the skip to as high as the sides, also known as the fill line, to avoid issues at collection.

  • Where can I put my skip once it has been delivered?

    Skips can be placed on your driveway or around the back of your property. If you need the skip on the road or a grass verge you must get a permit licence from your local council. Our experienced team can help advise you through this process.

  • What happens to my waste once it has been collected?

    We aim to responsibly dispose of your waste, by recycling up to 90% of the total load.

  • Are you licensed to carry my waste?

    Yes. Fully licenced with the Environmental Agency and other local authorities. 


    So rest easy knowing that we’re handling your waste to the highest industry standard, with our environmental promise guaranteed.
